Heartworm disease shows few, if any, signs in the Heartworm disease shows few, if any, signs in the early stages of disease. Testing requires only a small blood sample from your pet and it works by detecting the presence of heartworm proteins. Here at Petcetera, we are able to process this sample directly in the clinic and results are obtained quickly. Our tests also screen for exposure to tick-borne diseases which are prevalent in this region. Annual testing is recommended and can be done at your pet's annual exam or short technician appointment.
